I decided it was time for a new look for the ol’ blog. It’s still pretty simple, but the content area is a little wider now so I can better feature decent quality, 16:9 videos from time to time.

This Just In: Apparently the new layout is kinda broken on IE6. I’ve lost patience for that old browser, just update to 7, yo!

Ok, tell me, why is it that you’re able to get your HTML to work, but every time I try to put in a coded template that someone has written, I get error messages?!?!?!?! And here’s the real question, why, when I put in the template, it works when I hit “Preview” but it doesn’t work once I acctually apply the darn thing?? If it won’t work, if the HTML is off, then it shouldn’t work in “Preview” either!! I’ve been trying andn trying and trying, and when that fails, I go to the help boards…or should I say “NO HELP” boards. I can’t even email a question to the folks at Bloger, any time I hit a “Help” link, it forwards me to some kind of Google Forum with folks that have a similar problem to mine, but NO ONE HAS ANY FIXES???
I give up!!!

Very weird that your preview would look good but it doesn’t end up working for real. Are you using a “classic” Blogger template, or one of their newer layouts?
You might just have to friend up a monkey to whip something up.

I’m currently using one of the very few templates that Blogger supplies. I’m getting bored with the design…and because I’m no HTML master, I found a site that makes templates for you. They’ll have templates for this, Facebook, Myspace, LiveJournal, etc. I’ve tried templates from their sites, and from others that I’ve found, in any attempt to get a new layout. But it never fails. I get an error message once I actually try and apply the thing. Preview works fine, just won’t apply. Makes me sad. 🙁
I bet I have a monkey friend that just might be able to help me someday. And he makes some wicked great lemon drops too! I’ll have to bribe him with some free dinner once Chris and I get that new house and see if he can figure out my problem. 🙂
